The Carolinas Mission Region (CMR) is divided into 4 Mission Districts,
composed of 52 congregations across North and South Carolina.
The CMR is a member of the North American Lutheran Church (NALC).

Catawba Valley
Mission District
This Mission District is comprised of 13 congregations primarily in the Hickory, NC area, but extending East as far as Statesville. The Rev. Steve Johnson serves as the Dean.
Piedmont East
Mission District
This Mission District consists of 15 congregations mostly concentrated in the Salisbury, NC area. The Rev. Carl Haynes serves as the Dean.
Southern Piedmont
Mission District
This Mission District is home to 11 congregations in the South-central area of North Carolina. The Rev. Steve King serves as the Dean.
South Carolina
Mission District
This Mission District is made up of 13 Congregations, mostly in the Columbia, SC area. The Rev. David Tholstrup serves as the Dean.

- May 3-4, 2024: Carolinas Mission Region Convocation – Holy Trinity, Little Mountain, SC
- May 18, 2024: 10:00 am @ Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Gastonia NC – Roundtable with Bp. Selbo. RSVP for lunch to Pr. Steve King by May 15.
- May 19, 2024: Ordination and Installation celebration for Candice Carter at Trinity Lutheran Church in Landis, NC
- July 1-4, 2024: at St. John’s Lutheran in Boerne, TX: The Continental Youth Gathering (6th grade and up, including college). There are 500 spaces for all participants. Click here for more information and to register.
